James Moffat is a Management Trainee at DBR, bringing a strong work ethic and a keen interest in historic building restoration. He joined the company after completing a Business BTEC Extended Diploma at The FitzWimarc Sixth Form, achieving Distinction*, and gaining early experience through work placements, including at the Natural History Museum.
James has balanced education with part-time work and volunteering, developing strong communication and customer service skills through roles at a garden centre and with Essex Libraries, where he supported community literacy programmes. These experiences have helped shape his collaborative and proactive approach.
Now undertaking an NVQ qualification as part of his training, James is building practical knowledge in construction and project management while working alongside experienced teams. He is committed to developing his career within the heritage sector and contributing to the conservation of historic buildings.
