Cary Wadey is an Area Manager at DBR with over 20 years’ experience in architectural stonemasonry and conservation. After completing his apprenticeship at the Building Crafts College in London, he built a strong portfolio across restoration, new build, and specialist stonework projects before joining DBR in 2013 as a stonemason. He quickly progressed into a leadership role, now overseeing teams and ensuring consistently high standards across projects.

Cary combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solutions-focused approach, drawing on his background as both a banker mason and fixer. In recent years, he has expanded his skills into carpentry and joinery, applying his craftsmanship to complex conservation works. He is also a passionate advocate for training and development, mentoring the next generation of craftspeople through DBR’s Southern Skills Training Facility.

His project experience includes work at the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and Chichester Cathedral, reflecting his extensive experience across high-profile heritage sites.
