We had the pleasure of attending the Royal Warrant Holders luncheon, a gathering that brought together organisations and individuals united by a shared commitment to excellence, tradition, and service.
As a Royal Warrant Holder, it was a privilege to be part of an occasion that celebrated not only the history and significance of the Royal Warrant, but also the people and skills that continue to uphold its values today.
The afternoon featured a series of engaging and thought-provoking speeches. Roger Stephenson, National President of the Royal Warrant Holders Association and Grantee of James Lock &Co., reflected on the enduring importance of craftsmanship and quality. Lisa Montague, Chair of QEST, spoke passionately about supporting the next generation of makers and craftspeople, while author Robert Hardman offered fascinating insights into the life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, sharing perspectives on duty, service and leadership that resonated throughout the room.
The event also highlighted the importance of investing in future talent. At DBR, we are proud to emerging craftspeople through our partnership with QEST, with Enikő Leányvári currently representing DBR as our latest scholar. Seeing the continued commitment to nurturing traditional skills was a timely reminder that heritage is not only about preserving the past, but also about creating opportunities for the future.
One of the highlights of the dat was the opportunity to welcome and connect with guests from across the property, heritage and cultural sectors. The conversations shared over lunch reflected the collaborative spirit that helps safeguard historic buildings, collections and craftsmanship for generations to come.
Events such as these provide an important opportunity to pause and reflect on the values that underpin our work, quality, integrity, expertise and a dedication to preserving heritage. We are grateful to the Royal Warrant Holders Association for organising such an enjoyable and inspiring occasion and look forward to continuing to support the traditions and skills that the Royal Warrant represents.
