We're looking for a full-time Estimating Administrator to join our Estimating Department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their knowledge within the refurbishment and conservation industry.
As Estimating Administrator, you'll provide a range of administrative support to the Estimating Team, helping ensure the timely delivery of the team's submissions.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking phone calls to the office and directing them to the relevant department
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Setting up tenders, downloading enquiry documents and printing necessary paperwork
  • Managing tender clarifications, ensuring new information and documents are distributed to the responsible estimator and relevant supply chain members
  • Managing the subcontractor enquiry process, including sending out enquiries, arranging site visits and chasing up quotes
  • Entering subcontract prices onto the estimating system, querying any unpriced items and recording tender clarifications
  • Adding schedules of works to the estimating system
  • Ensuring all tenders are logged and submitted appropriately
  • Collating and submitting quality information
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM and estimating systems
  • Updating the estimating statistics sheet
  • Following up offers and expected tenders
  • Setting up new jobs once secured

Experience required

  • Ideally 6 months to a year's office-based experience; previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work well in a busy environment
  • Good computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; experience with Causeway Estimating software desirable but not essential
  • Able to work well as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Comfortable working to regular deadlines
  • Must be able to pass security clearance application
