Ruined Arch Kew

Sitting at the edge of Kew Gardens, this arch was designed by Sir William Chambers to resemble a Roman ruin. A wonderful brick structure enhanced by cobble stones and clay tiles.

DBR’s team of skilled conservation masons are carrying out necessary repairs to ensure the safety and security of this historic object and the visitors to Kew Gardens.

These necessary repairs were carried out brilliantly by our site team, led by project manager Kevin James and masonry conservation foreman Mark Hooper. This project included conservation repairs as well as necessary safety upgrades to this unique structure – ensuring swift and safe passage for all visitors.

A big congrats to all those involved in this project!
