Exciting progress continues across multiple fronts at Blenheim Palace, with DBR leading a comprehensive programme of conservation works. This includes successful completion of masonry cleaning trials, including laser cleaning, the successful opening of the public viewing platform, phase 1 of scaffolding completion and the beginning of roof strip out and leadwork! A huge thank you to all teams involved for their dedication to preserving this iconic heritage site. More updates to follow as we continue this transformative journey.

Executive Director and Chairman, Adrian Attwood ACR, joined Edward Lewis of Donald Insall Associates and Paolo Volpi of DBR Conservation to survey the statues and explore the scope of laser cleaning as part of the ongoing conservation works.

The team were observed by an intrigued public audience from the viewing gallery — a unique opportunity to witness heritage conservation in action, up close and personal. It’s fantastic to see such interest in preserving our cultural landmarks, and this project is a shining example of collaboration, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge techniques.
