Last night, Head of Palace Projects Isobel Brodrick and Marketing Conservator Talia Weiss attended and presented at a Parliamentary Select Committee on their experiences as women in construction. They presented to a panel committee made up of MPs, senior leaders in Strategic Estates and business representatives. With international women's day coming up this week, this was a fantastic opportunity to show how women can be given more inclusive roles in construction and what changes can be made to improve equality in the construction workplace. Historically, the world of construction has been a predominately male-led field. These incredible women are helping to change that narrative and bring women to the forefront of the construction industry. Adrian Attwood our Executive Director said “DBR is #proud of our emerging talented women who can rub shoulders equally with men in our organisation and reach the same career goals without prejudice and discrimination. Everyday, we strive to showcase of what can be achieved for women in the construction industry through equal opportunities and fair pay without glass ceilings”.
