Our expertise covers both water and oil gilding, and extends not just to the conservation of historic gilded surfaces, but also to new commissions. We are experienced at working on both objects and architectural features, and provide skills at all stages of the process, from upfront condition surveys and analysis, through to consolidation, repair, the removal of inappropriate coatings and regilding. We also offer additional techniques such as burnishing, sgraffito and distressing.
