Careful removal of historic Rock asphalt to recessed balconies. The asphalt was dressed directly to the Portland stone, gently heat was required to soften the asphalt in order to help its removal and avoid damage to historic fabric. New 20mm asphalt was laid in accordance with current guidelines but fixed to an independent kerb detail. New vapour control on existing screed dressing around outlets. New lead flashings to perimeter.
