Called by the architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner as “the most typical English Cathedral,” Chichester Cathedral was founded in 1075 and is a superb example of both the Norman and the Gothic architectural styles.
The structure has two features unique among England’s medieval cathedrals—a free-standing medieval bell tower and double aisles.

DBR Leadwork was responsible for replacing the existing tower roof with new Code 7 & 8 sand cast lead sheeting. This work included crucial alterations to the roof lay out to follow the current construction regulations.
