Affectionately known as the Cathedral of Brighton, St Peter’s is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, designed by Sir Charles Barry, architect of the Palace of Westminster. For over 10 years, DBR’s skilled craftspeople have been restoring this historic gem, battling the effects of coastal weathering and time.
From intricate stone carving and structural repairs to the restoration of the four clock faces and the church’s towering spire, the team has worked tirelessly to honour the building’s 200-year legacy. The tour offered guests a rare opportunity to explore the newly revealed tower — after 11 years under scaffolding — and learn more about the £3m restoration project that has helped revive not just a building, but a thriving community hub that now welcomes over 1,000 visitors each week.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our partners for helping celebrate the incredible work being carried out at St Peter’s. ???
