DBR Southern successfully dismantled, conserved, and reconstructed a Victorian Chapel salvaged from the old Barry hospital building in Brighton. The chapel is now completely reconstructed inside the new Brighton Hospital building. Brighton’s Victorian Chapel Relocation has been carefully undertaken by our highly skilled craftspeople led by Cary Wadey. This was a once in a lifetime project that showcased DBRs technical and craft approach to the conservation, repair, salvage and upgrading of our country’s built heritage.
DBRs Brighton Hospital Chapel relocation Team have been awarded for the second time on the project the monthly Laing Orourke Health & Safety Award for safety excellence on site. Great work by DBR Southerns’ team of highly skilled craftspeople.
