We provide career training in heritage crafts and conservation management through NVQ’s, continuing professional development and vocational courses to ensure our managers and craftspeople are fully equipped to deliver complex conservation projects.

Current Openings

General - To maximize the project income through robust variation value and accuracy of project valuations. - To monitor job costs to aim to increase profit margins above estimated margin. - To increase profitability by negotiation of supply chain costs. Daily liaison with the Client, Stakeholders, and other interested parties. Daily supervision of roofing operatives and subcontractors. - Attending client meetings. - Attending site walk around technical meetings with the design team. - Formulating Project Programmes for reporting and monitoring purposes. Implementing target programmes - Logistic Management - Coordinating deliveries, disposal, and storage on site of plant and materials. - Producing monthly valuations for submission to the Clients QS. - To recruit additional appropriately skilled labour for projects in consultation with the - Director and in accordance with company employment rules. - Under the direction of the Director and in conjunction with other members of the designated projects team, carry out duties to achieve the profitable and efficient execution of the Project. - To supervise on a day to day basis the site activities of the Project, ensuring that all work is properly carried out in accordance with the appropriate specifications, drawings and method statements, and that all operatives and other interested parties are properly briefed as to their tasks. - To co-ordinate and control the activities of Subcontractors and Suppliers on the Project. - To liaise and communicate with clients in respect of the Project. - To keep appropriate records and ensure the Director is fully informed of relevant matters regarding the Project. - To work in conjunction with the whole team to achieve the efficient servicing of the Project and dissemination of information. - To facilitate discipline and liaison between the Operative Force and the HR Department. To always promote the best interests of the Company. - To undertake such specific tasks that may reasonably be allocated by the Director. - To maintain a register of labour resource allocation and carry out regular resource allocation planning meetings with your team. - To undertake individual team performance appraisals for the assessment of probationary periods and annual reviews in conjunction with the Director. - To monitor the sales ledger to ensure valuations are submitted on time, certificates are received, and payment is received in accordance with the contract conditions. - To monitor operatives’ daily hours on projects and verify them with the accounts department. - To carry out health and safety and quality audits of the sites under your control on a regular basis. - To review and sign all purchase invoices for projects under your control and to communicate costs and invoice queries to your team. - To return signed or queried purchase ledger invoices to Head office accounts dept within 10 working days of receipt unless otherwise agreed with Director. - To place subcontractor orders and ensure they in accordance with the terms and conditions of the main contract.
General Under the direction of the Projects Manager/Contracts Manager and in conjunction with other members of the designated projects team, carry out duties to achieve the profitable and efficient execution of the Company’s business, including the procurement of new business. - To supervise on a day to day basis the site activities of the Project, ensuring that all work is properly carried out in accordance with the appropriate specifications, drawings and method statements, and that all operatives and other interested parties are properly briefed as to their tasks - To co-ordinate and control the activities of Subcontractors and Suppliers on the projects in conjunction with the Projects Manager/Contracts Manager. - To implement and enforce the Company’s policies on Health & Safety and Quality Management on the Project. Ensure that the requirements of CDM are complied with and that the appropriate records are kept. - To liaise and communicate with clients in respect of the Projects. - To carry out all necessary correspondence in relation to the project and undertake the valuing of works. - To keep appropriate records and ensure the Project Manager/Contracts Manager is fully informed of relevant matters regarding the Project. - To work in conjunction with the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to achieve the efficient servicing of the Project and dissemination of information. - To facilitate discipline and liaison between the Operative Work Force and the Projects Manager/Contracts Manager. - To promote the best interests of the Company at all times. - To undertake such specific tasks that may reasonably be allocated by the designated Line Manager
Role & Responsibilities • Assist with any site purchase requests across DBR Companies. • Liaising with Warehouse supervisor making sure adequate stocks are in place. • Raise purchase orders. • Assist with the answering of phone calls. • Assist with gathering pricing information for estimating and the project team. • Expediting of orders • Assist with making sure accounts have all related information for order processing. • Gathering of any required information requested by all departments. • Action any given tasks set out by the Logistics Manager • Management of Company and Hired in Plant. • Vehicle bookings with Site Teams & Clients. • Supply chain management. Requirements • Adequate knowledge of Sage, Access Databases, Excel, and Outlook • Organisational Skills • An understanding of the importance of waste management • An understanding of supply chain procedures • An understanding of logistics
Job purpose To support the Project Managers within DBR London Ltd. Based at DBR’s central London office at 83 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0HW. Main duties and responsibilities • Monitoring and logging incoming and outgoing information/correspondence. Picking up and actioning issues. • Adhere to document control procedures keeping accurate records and trackers. Ensure all necessary electronic and paper records, are completed by the team in a timely manner to meet internal and customer deadlines. • Filing of correspondence and associated files CAI’s, Instructions, RFI Responses etc. • Updating Project Specific Trackers. • Update and maintain document management system, logging projects, updating their status and milestones against service deliverables from enquiry through to completion. Take responsibility for the project library, storage areas and inventory of items. • Liaise with clients, project teams for administration requirements. • Deliver exceptional service standards to meet client expectations and ensure all operational difficulties are resolved by supporting the management team. • General office support functions (e.g. general enquiries including phone enquiries, mailing, emailing, photocopying, collating, formatting documents, filing, archiving and typing, population of databases, ordering stationary). • Recording Project and Sub-Contractor Pre-Start Meetings. • Collection of sustainability information for submission on a monthly basis • New Contract Site Set Up electronically within SharePoint System and Health & Safety onsite documentation. Liaising with Project Manager supporting with Administration. • Raise Purchase orders supporting Project Managers with administration. • Drafting Instruction to Sub-Contractors. • Rasing Project specific RFI’s • Aiding with the collection and filing of O&M information. • Project start up and shut down support Project Manager with administration. Updating relevant departments completing site shutdown checklist. Knowledge and experience • A minimum 1 year experience in Administrative support in Construction industry. • Previous knowledge of how construction/refurbishment/conservation projects are delivered is essential. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of working within and supporting a fast-moving team to ensure that the team objectives are delivered to time, budget and agreed quality standards. Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines. • Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining effective relationships at a variety of levels, including responding to needs diplomatically and managing expectations. • Strong IT skills and experience with a wide range of office and project management IT (Microsoft suite including SharePoint, Aconex etc.) • Have a working knowledge of electronic document management systems and ability to learn new systems. • Flexibility willingness to take on varied duties and tasks and on occasion work outside of standard office hours. • Knowledge in heritage is desirable. • To be a team player and able to work alone whilst keeping focused on priority issues. • No issue with personal security clearance / no criminal record.
